Chevrolet announced that the Corvette Grand Sport will return for 2027. The car was first introduced earlier this month, and now the automaker has shared more details.

The vehicle will be powered by the LS6, the next-generation naturally aspirated 6.7-liter V8 engine from General Motors. It will be capable of producing 535 horsepower and 705 Nm of torque and will also be featured in the 2027 Stingray.

The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Grand Sport comes standard with Magnetic Ride Control, touring suspension, and Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires.

The available Z52 Performance Package adds Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires, high-performance iron brakes from the Z06, and other additional features. Further performance data has not yet been shared by Chevrolet.

Chevrolet also announced the Grand Sport X for 2027, a hybrid that will replace the E-Ray. The GSX also features the new LS6 engine, which Chevrolet paired with a front-axle electric motor producing 186 hp and 197 Nm of torque, along with the battery from the Corvette ZR1X.

The combined output is 721 horsepower, surpassing the E-Ray by 66 hp. The GSX is also more powerful than the Z06, which features a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 producing 670 horsepower. The “X” designation will also represent models equipped with eAWD, such as the ZR1X.

The GSX comes standard with Magnetic Ride Control, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. Meanwhile, the Performance Package adds Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires to the vehicle.

Chevrolet will also offer a Grand Sport Launch Edition, featuring a Santorini Blue interior with contrasting red stitching. The on-sale date for the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport has not yet been confirmed by Chevrolet, but it is expected to arrive at dealerships in mid-2026.

Pricing also remains unknown, but considering the Grand Sport sits between the entry-level Stingray, which starts at $70,000 for 2026, and the ZR6, priced at $121,000, it is reasonable to speculate that it could be priced around $90,000.
